The St. Pius School Library has made a big change this school year! We have computerized the library thanks to the generosity of the PTG and after much hard work this summer by Mrs. Moorhead, Mrs. Dusing, Mrs. Shelli Bitter, Mrs. Cheryl Popham, Mrs. Teresa Schreiver and other volunteers as well. The students will no longer have to sign out their books on a card and will have a much easier time finding their favorite books as well as locating books to help them with their research projects. We are all very excited about our new computerized library. Our hard-working volunteers this year will be Mrs. Nancy Schellhaas, Mrs. Theresa Bamberger, Mrs. Shelli Bitter, Mrs. Mary Wehrman, Mrs. Sharon Spencer and Mrs. Sue Gerwe. Mrs. Gina Wulfeck will also be helping with special projects and Mrs. Colleen Klensch will again be chairing our annual Scholastic Book Fair in the spring.
The Library Birthday Club will be held again this year with the dates still to be finalized. We are hoping to continue our tradition of adding 200 books to the Library each year due to the generosity of our students and their parents. An explanation letter will be sent out to all families later in September and we hope we will have many participants again this year.
